Waterfront Lodge - Knysna

The warm hospitality from Marion and Gavin. The breakfast was really good, freshly prepared to order and with a lovely buffet of pastries and fruits. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and offered fine views of the lagoon.

The location was stunning and marvellous for Knysna, next to attractions in the local area as well as the relaxing garden. It also was on the lagoon. I had the king room, it was luxurious and new-fashioned.

The hosts provided really good service, promptly offering invaluable advice on local attractions and dining options. Breakfast was a highlight, with a generous selection of fresh bread and farm eggs, paired with superb coffee. While the location is convenient, the room maintenance could use some attention, as minor wear and tear was noticeable. Despite the outdoor area being beautiful, the seating could have been more comfortable to fully appreciate the lovely views.

The views overlooking the lagoon and the surrounding garden filled with Ibis and Guinea Fowl provide a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast selection includes fresh options like croissants and farm eggs that elevate the morning experience.

Traffic noise from the nearby main road can be disruptive in the morning, especially from larger vehicles. Room maintenance issues, such as a faulty TV and inconveniently placed kettle, detract from the overall comfort. The shower takes too long to warm up, requiring patience when getting ready.

The hosts, Marion and Gavin, were cute. The room was beautifully designed with amazing lagoon views. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. I can't wait to return 😊

Half amazing, half disappointing

The breakfast was an absolute highlight! With a good selection and freshly cooked options, it was a fantastic way to start the day. The hosts were cute.

Although service was friendly, the Wi-Fi signal was weak was great. The room's TV offered only basic channels, somewhat underwhelming during downtime.

Marion and Gavin offer really good personal touches with delicious, locally-sourced breakfasts while your car gets washed during breakfast. I felt pampered and cared for!

This was just an optimal selection for a weekend excursion in Knysna with extraordinarily good value for money. The hosts were attentive, going out of their way to recommend a great lunch spot. Plan to enjoy the lovely balcony views overlooking the lagoon during your stay.

The warm welcome from Marion and Gavin set the positive tone for my time at this charming lodge. They offered a wealth of travel tips and the views of the lagoon were amazing, creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxation after a busy day.

We got very nice value for our money at Waterfront Lodge. The room was superb, with a balcony overlooking the lagoon that provided a fine view.

Food for breakfast could have been improved with more variety.

our recent stay in knysna was made even better by waterfront lodge. everything from the excellent rooms and bathrooms to the beautiful garden and swimming pool exceeded our expectations. gavin's eggs at breakfast were a highlight, and marian's helpfulness made us feel right at home. highly recommended.
